Day of Action in Washington, D.C.

Americans have had enough.

Enough of Guantanamo Bay, detentions without trial, torture, racial profiling, secret prisons, and needless violations of our rights and freedoms in the name of national security.

The time has come to take our message straight to the top and demand the restoration of the rule of law!

On June 26th, thousands of ACLU members and activists from around the country will descend on Washington, D.C. to rally at the steps of the capitol and lobby Congress to restore our constitutional rights.

Please join us in Washington for this historic day of action. Lawmakers need to hear from you that the time for restoring our constitution is now.

There will be free NYCLU buses leaving from various locations throughout New York State that will take you straight to Washington and back again on June 26th.

Our demands—putting an end to torture and extraordinary rendition, restoring habeas corpus and repealing the Military Commissions Act of 2006, closing Guantanamo Bay prison, and ending warrantless wiretapping of Americans—cannot wait any longer.

Get on the bus! We’ll save a seat for you.
